Imported fertilizers must have a Decision on the recognition of fertilizers circulating in Vietnam to the Customs and state inspection agency.

Based on Article 44 of the 2014 Agriculture Law and Articles 19, 20, and 46 of Decree No. 84/2019/ND-CP, effective from January 1st, 2020, according to the above regulations:

1. Organizations and individuals that have been granted a Decision on the recognition of fertilizers circulating in Vietnam can import or authorize the import of fertilizers mentioned in the Decision without requiring an Import Permit for fertilizers.

2. Organizations and individuals that import fertilizers that have not been recognized as circulating in Vietnam must have an Import Permit for fertilizers.

3. Based on Article 46 of Decree No. 84/2019, upon importation, state inspection on the quality of imported fertilizers must be conducted.
